My name is Anne Syed and I have been accepted to be a part of the Muslim Youth Leadership program hosted by the Council on American Islamic Relations San Francisco Bay Area!
This program trains future community leaders who are interested in politics, government, and the empowerment of the Muslim community. MYLP provides their participants in an in-depth understanding of California's legislative process, sharpen their leadership skills, and receive hands-on training in the areas of civic engagement and media advocacy.
As a high school student, I have been involved within many communities to help others. From being an officer for multiple clubs to volunteering at the masjid, I would love to apply the skills I learn from this program to better the safety and conditions of our Muslim communities.
To attend this program, I must raise $800 through fundraising. Any donation can go a long way in helping me utilize the skills I learn from MYLP to help others.
